Description Of Job Duties
Provides back-up circulation duties at main library public service desk when needed.
Position Summary
The Library Assistant II for Resource Sharing is primarily responsible for performing and administering UIW Libraries Resource Sharing services including but not limited to managing Interlibrary Loan ( ILL ), on demand requests, and consortia resource sharing activities. Position is also responsible for data management and reporting. The Library Assistant II for Resource Sharing reports to the Director of Technical Services.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift at least 20lbs and push book trucks weighing at least 100lbs. Ability to regularly move about library during course of duties. Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve library materials.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree. Experience working with Interlibrary Loan borrowing and lending. Proficient in the use of ILLiad. Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
