Works with the Director of Public Services / Dean to provide and report data and reports as requested. Actively contributes to national and regional accreditation processes and other special projects assigned by library leadership.
Position Summary
The Health Sciences Liaison Librarian will provide the full range of co-curricular teaching and learning support, reference and research consultation, and work collaboratively with faculty and students in support of health sciences education and research and in the development of specific medical informatics and health sciences information meta-literacies. Position provides instructional assistance to members of the academic community, including students, faculty, and administrators in physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, nursing and other health sciences disciplines. The Health Sciences Liaison Librarian reports to the Director of Public Services.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 20lbs of library materials. Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, climb to retrieve library materials. Ability to push/pull library carts holding up to 60+ lbs. Ability to regularly move about library locations, as well as attend meetings at the various library locations.
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years of relevant experience in an academic / health sciences library providing teaching, learning, and research co-curricular support. Familiarity with Alma(ExLibris) public access catalog and the Primo discovery tool, MS Office products, spreadsheets, online learning platforms, and LibGuides. Certification from the Academy of Health Information Professionals. Undergraduate degree in a health sciences related field.
