Pay Information: SHPL typically hires new staff in at the entry rate of the posted pay scale. Exceptions may be made for successful applicants who have significant (5+ years) direct experience in the position at a level beyond what is expected of a new hire.
Job Summary: The Teen Librarian provides reference, readers’ advisory, and programming services to customers in grades 7-12 and their families, assists customers in locating, selecting and reserving library materials, develops and maintains the library’s young adult collection, and develops teen engagement programming.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This role requires successful candidates to be able to move around multiple floors of the library frequently
Education:
Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Associate accredited school
