The Lower Moreland Township School District is seeking a technology/library assistant at Lower Moreland Middle School.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Addresses end-user needs in the areas of hardware and software support and troubleshooting. Repairs devices and prepares repaired devices for service return.
- Installs and configures software and tests software installations according to district protocols.
- Ensures classroom technology, offices, computer lab(s), and other spaces are properly set up and operational for instruction, training, board meetings, and administrative team meetings.
- Utilizes the help desk system to maintain records of all problems and resolutions relative to client devices and other technology systems and software; responsible for maintaining inventory of equipment and devices.
- Maintains building technology support capabilities in coordination with the lead teacher for technology, administrative assistant(s), administrators, and technology team members.
- Monitors student behavior in the library.
- Answers questions and provides information concerning library resources; assists students in locating and accessing materials and topics for research, reference, and assignments.
- Assists in organizing and maintaining library resources.
- Assists the School Librarian with administrative tasks related to the delivery of classroom instruction.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology, the Principal of Lower Moreland Middle School, and/or the Superintendent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma is required, and an associate's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Computer expertise with a strong understanding of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server, macOS, and iOS, Chrome OS, and Android operating systems and the Google Workspace ecosystem, including Chromebooks.
- Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, installing, preventative maintenance, and inventory control.
- Ability to take direction, troubleshoot, ask questions, and complete tasks independently.
Salary range is $45,000/year. Comes with full family health benefits available from the first date of employment.
