Job Summary: Develop and maintain an extensive collection of aircraft maintenance manuals and technical information. 


Essential Job Duties:

  1. Acquire manuals, standards, and other publications necessary.
  2. Catalog all materials into a database or information system.
  3. May create abstracts, bibliographies, and metadata to classify documents.
  4. Manage access [accounts] to library related electronic systems for employees and to external sources.
  5. Customer Focused – Driven to understand customer needs and improve processes.
  6. Communicate with all levels of the organization to develop a comprehensive library in support of company, flight, and maintenance operations. 
  7. Uphold FAA and 21 Air standards of quality.
  8. Must be able to work on complex tasks with limited assistance.
  9. Promote and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Technical Publications department, including procedures, quality control, workflow, and tools.


Secondary Duties: 

Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Technical Publications.



Requirements

Job Qualifications: 

Minimum:

  1. Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Communications, Research, English, or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted.
  2. Must be fluent in English – read, write, speak and understand.
  3. Must have excellent oral, written, organizational, and problem-solving skills with an attention to details.
  4. Must be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  5. Must be available for overtime and/or to work a flexible schedule, as job requirements dictate. 

Preferred:

  1. Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
  2. Two years of experience in a government regulated industry.
  3. Thorough knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 119, 121, and 145 FAA regulations and related requirements and specifications.


Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to sit and work effectively at a computer for extended periods of time.
  2. Must be able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
