Are you interested in data management and library services? BAE Systems is seeking an entry-level Data Manager and Cataloger to work at the nexus of data and the intelligence mission. A Data Manager and Cataloger collects/maintains/stores collection of geospatial and textual products (maps, charts, CDs, DVDs, textual material, intelligence documents, handheld photography and digital datasets), maintain the library collection, and ensure that all products are fully discoverable.

  • Experience with virus-scanning software and processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of library clerical procedures and practices.
  • Understanding working with library cataloguing standards.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience maintaining and developing databases.

  • Bachelors in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related body of education
  • Working knowledge of clerical practices
  • Ability to remain flexible to changing priorities and requirements from supervisors and customers
  • Demonstrated experience planning, prioritizing, and managing assignments in a timely manner
  • Experience with scientific collections
  • Understanding of library sciences and MARC 21, AACR2R, and RDA standards
