Duties and Responsibilities:
*Open and/or close the library during morning or evening shifts
*Maintain circulation desk area including books, computers, reserve, audio-visual, and periodical materials. Conduct circulation of materials to library patrons using SIRSI Symphony library system
*Monitor & Schedule Group Study Rooms for Faculty, Staff and Students
*Answer directional/informational questions/reference questions
*Fill out and assist with Special Patron/LOUIS Borrowing car requests
*Monitor and Answer Virtual Reference (Libchat) and ask a Librarian Questions
*Submit daily statistic to the designated campus/site Librarian
*Assist with shelving and or shifting new books/materials in down time
*Provide general and specialized reference and instructional services during assigned hours, which may include evenings and weekends. Assist users with reference queries, OPAC and database searching, and the retrieval of materials
*Provide in-depth bibliographic instructions to users on-site and on-line, schedule library instruction classes, booking of classes using LibCalendar library system,
*Develop individualized bibliographic instruction program for special population in collaboration with Reference Librarians college-wide
*Maintain daily classroom statistics/reports statistics to Interlibrary Loan/Librarian/Reference Librarian
*Assist in the selection, management and use of information resources for the reference collection and electronic databases
*Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Library Services
Required Education: Masters in Library Science preferred
Required Experience: One or two years of work experience in Library Services.
