The purpose of this class is to perform a variety of advanced level work involved with maintaining the library collection and assisting patrons.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelorβs Degree and two years directly related library experience.
Class Specific Essential Duties
Oversee the daily operations of assigned area.
Responsible for the management of fee payment records and deposits.
Assist students, faculty and other library patrons at Public Service Desks.
Maintain accurate records and statistics using various databases and online management systems.
Assist with special projects as required.Β
Position Specific Essential Duties
Coordinate scheduling of librarians and classrooms for Library Instruction program in consultation with faculty and librarians; Schedule/Manage electronic calendars for library classrooms /meeting rooms.
Assist in development, revision, production of library instructional materials; Compile and maintain Instructors folders, Assignments Book and Instructional Handouts Book.
Assist in evaluation of library collection and withdrawal of materials.
Maintain database of Library Instruction statistics and compile monthly and yearly reports.
Participate in Library Outreach Program: Β scheduling rooms and handling publicity; Develop and implement library displays
