Description of Work
Position Definition:
Reporting to the department head, assists the department by re-shelving materials and keeping shelves in good order, making it easy for staff and patrons to find and use materials.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Example of Duties:
- Shelve and retrieve materials
- Simple filing and photocopying
- Shelf checking from printed lists
- Checking bibliographic holdings in OPAC
- Putting together new borrower welcome packets
- Basic assistance with programs
- Work an average of 10-12-hours per week
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Student in good standing in high school, or a high school diploma or GED. The preferred minimum age is 16. The minimum hiring ages is 14.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Ability to use computers
- Ability to stand and walk around the library to re-shelve books for long periods of time/
- Ability to work weekends.
Special Licenses/Certifications AND/OR Supplemental Information
Hours: Up to 19.5 hrs/wk.
