The Library Assistant II will work onsite at one of our clients and will provide a variety of records management and clerical duties assigned by the client and by CCC. A deep understanding of the records center and the type of files present is necessary to help customers uncover what they need and maintain document organization. Strong analytical skills and the ability to retain and recall data are a must. This full-time position is located in Clinton, IN. Free on-site parking is available. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Provide customer service for a Records Center, including but not limited to, perform interviews with customers to uncover their information needs, back-up of required documents, retrievals, based on customer requests, and processing of document submissions. 
  • Enter data for submitted records into the appropriate systems, label and file records, issue notebooks/logbooks/databooks using the appropriate systems and prepare records for storage and shipment, route and distribute documents, as needed, day to day management and organization within the filing systems including shifting files, upload documents and create submissions, and making new folders when folders become overcrowded, ordering supplies, etc. 
  • Remain up to date on Record Center processes, systems, and tools. 
  • Support the generation of monthly reports, as requested.
  • Maintain regular communication with management regarding changes as they may occur, look for ways to streamline processes and best practices. 
  • Attend training to remain current on various systems and processes. 
  • Support internal and external audits. 

Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ customer service experience; 1- 2 years’ records management experience with a proven ability to multi-task 
  • College degree preferred 
  • Current experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) and Internet navigation; Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, analytical skills and organizational skills 
  • Familiarity with office equipment (i.e., copier, scanner, fax, etc.). 
  • Able to work periodic overtime, when requested, during internal and external audits  
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend and reach for filing, lift up to 30 lbs. and walk 1/4 mile from parking lot to facility 
  • Will be required to pass a background check
