The Librarian, Senior, Outreach Services Management plays a vital leadership role in broadening the reach and impact of our library system. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic outreach initiatives that promote equitable access, community engagement, and inclusive programming. The manager oversees all mobile and off-site outreach operations, supervises key staff, and coordinates services to underserved populations, including homebound individuals.
This role directly supervises the Head Librarian of Home Borrower Services and two Library Associates, while also managing the planning and maintenance of community Book Walk installations to foster literacy and public engagement in outdoor spaces.
Deep understanding of library outreach practices and inclusive public service models.
Experience with accessibility resources, including services for patrons with disabilities and the Talking Books program.
Strong leadership, staff development, and team-building capabilities.
Excellent communication, public speaking, and project management skills.
Ability to use data to drive decisions and improve services.
Creative, solution-focused, and self-motivated work approach.
Competence in budgeting, logistics, and stakeholder relationship management.
