Job Description

Pine Technical and Community College (PTCC) invites applications for a full-time, unlimited Campus Librarian/Faculty. The successful candidate will provide leadership in library services, support student learning and faculty instruction, and promote information literacy across campus. This position will be split between library duties and faculty work providing instruction for the campus’ College Career and Professional Development courses. This position plays a key role in fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and academically enriching environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide reference and research assistance to students, faculty, and staff.

  • Develop and deliver library instruction sessions and workshops.

  • Develop and manage library collections, including acquisitions, cataloging, and weeding.

  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy into the curriculum.

  • Maintain and enhance digital library resources and services.

  • Provide instruction for campus College Career and Professional Development courses.

  • Serve as Phi Theta Kapa advisor

  • Participate in college committees and contribute to institutional goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in library science or equivalent degree

Preferred Qualification 

  • Demonstrated ability to teach and support diverse student populations.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with library technologies and digital resources.

  • Experience in an academic library setting.

  • Familiarity with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.

  • Knowledge of Open Educational Resources (OER) and instructional design.

  • Experience with integrated library systems (e.g., Alma/Primo).

Salary Range

The current starting salary range is $43,067 - $71,893. Full-time faculty work a 171-day contract during a nine-month academic year (mid-August to mid-May),

Please note: initial salary placement is determined on the basis of education and experience in accordance with the faculty contract.
