    Minimum Requirements: Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, and
    Meet ONE of the following qualifications:
    • Completion of an associate’s degree or higher degree from an accredited institution.
    • Possess 48 semester credit hours from an accredited institution.
    • Successful completion of a rigorous training program approved by the Superintendent.
    Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of the school librarian aide is to assist the school librarian in the effective operation and management of the library by supporting the organization, circulation, and maintenance of library materials, and by fostering a learning environment that promotes literacy, research, and the educational goals of the school.
    Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of library organization systems
    Familiarity with library circulation procedures and cataloging methods
    Proficiency in the use of library management software and digital research tools
    Strong organizational and time management skills
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to assist students and staff in locating and using library resources
    Competence in basic computer applications (e.g., word processing, databases, internet navigation)
    Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff in a courteous and professional manner
    Attention to detail and accuracy in handling library materials
    Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and procedures
