  •   Rocky Boy Elementary School is looking for a Library/Media specialist for the 2024-25 school year.  We seek a professional who will be responsible for acquisition and selection of the library collection to support the educational objectives, interests, and goals of the elementary school.  The candidate is a highly motivated, student-oriented educator that will plan, implement, manage, and instruct an interactive library/media curriculum for students in grades K-6.  Candidate will be responsible to oversee the acquisition, organization, maintenance, utilization, and retention of materials and equipment in the library.  Individual selects, stores, issues, and inventories equipment, materials, and supplies used in library education program. Implements and expands the acquisition, checking out, shelving of books and cataloging functions of library materials and media thru Destiny/Follet software, our library management system.  Will be responsible for teaching students and staff how to access and use resource information in the library.  We hire candidates who are highly motivated, team players with high expectations focused on academic excellence. 

    Qualifications:  Montana Class I or II Teaching certificate with endorsement in 31A or 31E-Library.  May consider applicants who are willing to work towards the library/media endorsement.
