Richland Library is seeking to hire a FT Impact Strategist at our Main location.

Sample Duties:

  • Develops and implements evaluation frameworks and methodologies to assess the impact of library services, programs and projects
  • Conducts evaluations from start to finish including stakeholder engagement, program definition, evaluation design, evidence gathering and conclusion
  • Offers expert advice and strategic recommendations based on evaluation findings to inform decision-making by Administration and Executive Leadership Team
  • Fosters a culture of evaluation and continuous improvement by providing training, technical assistance, and resources to strengthen monitoring and evaluation capabilities across the system
  • Advises project teams in the development of measurable outcomes; Engages with, listens to, and learns from a broad range of evaluation partners, encouraging their meaningful participation
  • Perform rigorous data analysis, including quantitative and qualitative methods, to measure program effectiveness, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
  • Manages new and ongoing evaluations for projects, grant programs / initiatives, and the Library’s programs and services; oversees data collection, tracking, and analysis for evaluations; guides grant project teams in implementing outcome evaluation and reporting as required by grant funders
  • Advises, partners with, and coaches team members to strengthen competencies for strong, ongoing program evaluation
  • Creates compelling written materials, graphics, and presentations that tell the story of the library’s impact on the communities we serve
  • Prepares written materials, graphics, and reports for publications related to data collection and evaluation initiatives and projects
  • Follows organizational, County, and public health and safety guidelines and protocols; performs job functions in a safe manner and reports all safety hazards per established policies and procedures
  • Attends and participates in staff and professional group meetings; stays current on new trends and best practices
  • Learns and consistently applies the Richland Library’s Brand Promises providing outgoing, genuine, and high-quality customer service to all internal and external customers; successfully ascertains individualized needs and/or requirements for each customer
  • May be required to work outside of standard business hours, including nights and weekends based on organizational responsibilities and job requirements

Mimimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Program Measurement & Evaluation or a related discipline; supplemented by three (3) years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

Preferred Requirements:

Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Program Measurement & Evaluation, or a related discipline and three (3) years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation for a public service agency or organization

Where: Richland Library Main, 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201

Salary: $2,137.50 bi-weekly plus excellent benefits.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week: Monday - Friday 9:00 am- 5:30 pm

Job Role & Level: P3; Pay Grade & Salary Band: 7; FLSA Status: Exempt
