Overview






Join our team as a Training Librarian and support the Library of Congress' Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK) Program by drafting training materials for the FEDLINK Program to help other Federal agencies through the library aqcuisitions process. You will analyze current documentation, draft and refine improved documentation, research outreach initiatives to promote awarenss of the FEDLINK program, and ensure accuracy and completeness of training documentation. Work Schedule and Location:


Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM, with 20% of time (1 day per week) at the John Adams Building, 120 2nd St SE, Washington, DC 20002.









Responsibilities






  • Review files and other materials to gain an understanding of current FEDLINK processes and procedures relating to federal acquisitions and assess needs for new or updated documentation for use with internal and external users.
  • Supporting documentation will improve customer service to federal libraries and provide added efficiencies for internal processes to best serve members
  • Documentation and training may include, but is not limited to, standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, handouts, and webinars/presentations
  • Create and refine training and supporting documentation on federal library acquisitions for external and internal FEDLINK users. May perform training as needed
  • Working across FEDLINK, develop strategies to promote awareness of FEDLINK services and resources. This may include, but is not limited to, development of communication plans, announcements, bulletins, flyers, memos, and other materials








Qualifications






  • Master’s degree in library/information science or related degrees and at least 2 years of experience working in a research or Federal library
  • Familiarity with best practices related to marketing, customer service, and training
  • Experience developing training materials and leading training
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office suit including power point, excel, outlook and teams. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written communications

Pay Range (Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors)






$ 60,000.00 - $ 70,000.00 /Yr.
