Anticipated Vacancy - Library Associate Teacher

A Library Associate Teacher position (grades K-6) is available in the Nazareth Area School District.  The Library Associate provides support to the librarian, teachers, and students in maintaining the efficient operation of the library media center.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Administration of the circulation disk
• Preparation and processing of library materials
• Maintain library collection and interlibrary loan requests, and records
• Assist in basic guidance for students & faculty in the use of the library media center.

Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Completion of at least two years of postsecondary study at an institution of higher education, or an associate's (or higher) degree
• Library or clerical education and/or experience preferred
• Excellent computer skills are a must
• Experience with Google Apps for Educators preferred
• Proficiency with 21st-century skills preferred
• Willingness to interact with students throughout the entire day
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Manage continual interruptions and shifting job priorities
• Ability and willingness to work with students and teachers
• Ability to accept supervision.
