Job Summary:

 The User Experience and
Technology position will lead user-focused customer service initiatives by managing
engagement initiatives. This role will supervise the Access Services team to
provide excellent customer service and coordinates user technology in
conjunction with our IT department. With assistance from the Access Services
staff, this role will maintain the library’s physical collections and be the point
of contact for The Oklahoma Textbook Review Center. Performs various
professional duties including research assistance, collection development, serving
on campus and library committees, instructional duties, marketing, event
management, training staff and creating training materials, and engaging the
online student.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Minimum:
- Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent degree
- 1-3 years current library experience,
academic preferred or relevant library experience with demonstrated leadership
capabilities or supervisory experience
- Experience or understanding of customer service and service management.
- Understanding of training and teaching of library systems and functions across multiple platforms and/or modalities
- Experience with providing reference and literature assistance in a library context.
- Understanding current initiatives for academic libraries.
- Understanding of current technologies and software.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to foster positive and collaborative working partnerships and relationships.

 Preferred:
- Masters of Library Science
- ALA Accredited
- Project Management Experience
- Staff Development
- Change Management Experience
- Customer Service
- Knowledge of
educational technology trends.

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
- Understanding of the
changing research dynamics and operations of a 21st century academic
library
- Must embrace innovation, change and be proficient in learning new
technologies
- Must demonstrate leadership skills, exemplify productive work
habits, manage and complete multiple projects, and demonstrate attention to
detail
- Additional skills needed include
effective decision making, customer service, team building, impactful teaching,
and excellent communication skills in listening, both verbal and written. - Various
library software experience like Springshare, library search systems and
databases.
