Job Summary:
The mission of the Springfield School District Library Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective lifelong users of ideas and information through access to carefully selected and organized collections of diverse resources and participation in integrated learning opportunities.

Administration of the Library
- Developing and maintaining rich and diverse library collections, in accordance with Springfield School District's library policy on materials
- Organizing the collection for maximum and effective
- Modeling effective strategies for developing multiple
- Providing 24/7 access to digital information resources for the entire learning community.
- Cooperating and networking with other libraries and librarians to provide access to resources outside the
- Collecting and analyzing data to improve practices and demonstrate correlations between the school library program and student
- Providing sufficient flexible scheduling to balance skills instruction with open access to resources at point of
- Preparing, justifying, and administering the school library budget to support specific program goals.
Library Management
- Creating and maintaining a teaching and learning environment that is inviting, safe, flexible, and conducive to student
- Ensuring equitable physical access to facilities and services by providing a barrier-free environment.
