Our staff standards are high. We seek high-energy applicants with exceptional customer service and communication skills including the ability to explain information to patrons with diverse backgrounds and comprehension levels. Applicants must also have experience in operation of personal computer, data input, use of internet, and use of related hardware and software. This position does require a high school diploma.
During a typical day you will:
The job is fast paced and requires performance of repetitive duties. Must be able to perform physical aspects of the job including lifting books and materials, pushing rolling carts, bending at the back and knees, climbing step stools, reaching above head and at eye level, walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time.
The library is open Monday through Saturday. We try to set work schedules with a level of predictability but we do need flexible staff members because we will modify the general work schedule as needed to meet our staffing needs.
