Job Summary
Silicon Valley International School (INTL) is on the lookout for a highly dynamic and adaptable individual to join our team in a multifaceted role. This unique (requires being on-site) hybrid position requires someone who can seamlessly transition between several responsibilities, demonstrating exceptional flexibility and the ability to thrive in diverse working environments. This individual will support students and staff across divisions, from Preschool through High School. This role will be considered a year-round employee.
The successful candidate will be able to take on the role of a Mandarin-speaking Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) Teacher (30%), who will guide our preschool students in their language acquisition journey. The teacher will be responsible for fostering a love for the Chinese language and culture and adapting instructional strategies to meet the varying needs of young learners.
In addition to teaching, this individual will also serve as the School Librarian (50%), managing the library's resources to promote literacy and a passion for reading among students. This entails curating a diverse collection of books and materials, organizing activities that encourage students to explore literature, and assisting students in research and information literacy.
Moreover, the role will include Administrative Support (20%), where responsibilities may involve coordinating schedules, managing communications, and assisting in the school's overall operations. Position Requirements
Summer and Mini Camps
As this role is considered year-round, the successful candidate will be required to work our Mini and Summer Camps. During summer care and mini-camp, our team is considered camp counselors. They are expected to plan and implement activities under the guidance and supervision of the Licensing and Enrichment Support Director, who will provide a theme for the camps and help to organize planning. There will be time available the week before the mini-camp for planning and preparation. Time will be given in the summer care schedule to allow for weekly planning and preparation.
Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation is based on educational attainment and years of experience. The salary range for this full-time, non-exempt, hourly position for the 2025-26 school year is based on an annual amount of $63,000 to $93,000.
