As a Library Technician in this role, you may be required to:

- As a Library Technician in this role, you may be required to:
- Assisting librarian in organizing and managing library resources
- Checking books and other materials in and out for patrons
- Organizing and re-shelving returned materials
- Maintaining and updating library records, including records of borrowed and returned materials
- Assisting patrons in locating and using library resources
- Helping to maintain library equipment and technology, including computers, printers, and copiers
- Answering questions and providing information about library policies and services
- Helping to develop and implement library programs and events
- Processing requests for library materials and using OCLC WorldShare to requests items that are not part of the collection
- Performing routine clerical tasks, such as data entry and filing
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ experience as a Library Technician or Library Services
- Must be able to push/drag/lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ interpreting bibliographic data elements and searching and updating bibliographic holdings, and item records in online environments
- 1+ years of experience preparing library materials for reformatting, scanning library materials, processing images, or performing QA/QC on images and metadata
- 1+ years’ shelving, shifting, inventory, and rehousing fragile materials
- 1+ years’ using a Library Services Platform to update holdings and item records
- 1+ years’ handling rare and unique library materials, including archival and manuscript collections
- 1+ years’ locating, retrieving, and shelving library materials in library collections by call number or another organization scheme
- Experience as a civilian contractor for a Government Facility
