The City seeks an experienced, passionate library professional to lead a team of more than 12 staff while directing daily operations of this high-traffic branch. The Branch Manager exercises full supervisory authority over Branch staff, manages program-level budgets, advances strategic initiatives, and contributes as a key member of the Library’s Leadership Team. This position blends hands-on public service with leadership—driving innovative programming, shaping collections, supporting outreach, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
·Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science.
·Four years of experience working in a public library.
·Three years of supervisory experience.
·Three years of computer experience.
·Or any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the above Minimum Requirements.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
·Knowledge about the local community and its resources.
·Knowledge of principles, procedures, best practices, trends, and developments related to library services.
·Knowledge of and experience with collection development/maintenance.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
·Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid Arizona driver’s license.
·Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity.
·Evening and weekend work as necessary.
