Library Associate – Public Services
Part-time, 20 hours per week
The Waukesha Public Library is seeking an outgoing and tech savvy part-time Library Associate to enrich the lives of patrons by providing exemplary customer service in the Public Services Department. The Library is looking for a candidate who works well with all kinds of people and understands the transformative value that a library brings to its community. THE POSITION: We are looking for a dedicated employee with a welcoming personality to work at our busy Information Desk, greeting patrons, registering new card holders, checking in and out library materials, answering phones, processing payments, and maintaining circulation records.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and major coursework in library sciences, education, graphic design, marketing, public relations, or other related field and at least 2 years of library experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge, ability and skills:
A background in customer service is preferred.
The 2026 salary range is $24.5799.
Regular schedule includes weekdays, evenings, and weekend hours.
