The Orange County Library has an opening for a Library Associate II at the Main Library in the Adult Services Division. The work involves supporting programming, outreach, and community engagement for an assigned age group at an Orange County Library.
Work is performed under the general supervision of a Librarian III or Library Division Supervisor I with some leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work and in making decisions regarding needs and requests of staff and the public. Supervision of others is not required of this position. Performs related work as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from a regionally accredited or registered college or university with an associate degree AND three (3) years of work experience in public library programming, OR
An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined above. A higher degree does not substitute for work experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes day, evening, and weekend hours.
Ability to travel.
