Library Assistant III positions perform a variety of paraprofessional library and clerical work in a branch library or a section of the Central Library; assist and instruct patrons in using library resources and facilities; explain library policies and rules; locate materials; research and answer the more routine reference questions; provide children's services and conduct patron training classes; assist in the management of branch or section operations; maintain collections such as pamphlets, pictures, government documents, and map files; register patrons using the integrated library system; collect money; perform data entry and computer searches; lead the work of Library Assistant I/Library Assistant II positions and volunteers; assist with public programs and promotions; and perform other duties as assigned.

LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver License may be required at the time of hire.
