Library Assistant  
 
The AMDA-NY Library is looking for students to join our team and help support the entire AMDA community. Library student workers play a vital role in the library’s many services and serve as a first point of contact for library users.
 
Open to all semesters. 
 
Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure patrons follow library policies and procedures
  • Answering questions via email, phone, and in-person
  • Checking materials in and out
  • Helping patrons search for, find, and locate library materials
  • Reshelving books, music scores, plays, and DVDs
  • Teaching community members how to use the digital scanner and printers/copiers
  • Keeping the library neat and organized
 
Qualifications: 
  • Good academic standing
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good computer and technology skills
 
Position Information:
  • The pay range for this position is $17 an hour
