Job Summary:

St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled Library/Technology Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This dual role supports our students’ literacy and digital skills by managing the school library program and delivering age-appropriate technology instruction across grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Library Duties:

  • Promote a love of reading and lifelong learning through engaging library lessons.

  • Manage the school library collection, including acquisitions, cataloging, and inventory.

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support literacy and research initiatives.

  • Organize book fairs, reading challenges, and other literacy-centered events.

Technology Duties:

  • Delivery technology curriculum aligned with Catholic values and 21st-century skills.

  • Teach basic computer skills, digital citizenship, and responsible use of technology.

  • Assist faculty and students with technology integration and troubleshooting.

  • Maintain and oversee use of instructional technology resources (e.g., tablets, projectors, software tools).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Library Science, Instructional Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Valid Texas teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain one).

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred.

  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to Catholic education.

  • Proficiency in educational technology tools (Google Workspace for Education, SMART boards, etc.).

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
