Primary Purpose Of Position
Reporting to the Head of Research, Instructional and Engagement Services, ( RIES ) invites applications for an Assessment and User Experience Librarian to lead our growing culture of assessment. This is a twelve-month, tenure-track assistant professor librarian position responsible for assessment efforts for the RIES unit and assessment efforts throughout the library for engagement activities related to strategic priorities and academic success. Offering library faculty and staff training and consultation on assessment strategies, this position supports data analysis, and will work within a highly collaborative library environment to ensure development of effective student-centered programs, library spaces and services. The ideal candidate will be committed to cross-functional librarianship and will demonstrate commitment in an inclusive climate. Responsibilities are not limited but include providing data for the integration of assessment and evidence-based decision-making for projects and engagement activities. The position will also be responsible for developing best practices to support the development of innovative, student-centered services and collections and for analyzing and improving the effectiveness of service points and the use of library spaces for academic success. This position will also serve as a liaison to an assigned academic department and Center of Excellence, providing information literacy and library instruction in virtual and in-person classroom settings and developing and maintaining supplemental instructional resources such as subject guides in support of Library Services’ information literacy and library instruction programs.

Minimum Requirements
· A master’s degree from an ALA -Accredited program in library and/or information science · Demonstrated ability to question and think strategically; excellent oral and written communication skills · Demonstrated ability in utilizing multiple assessment strategies to enhance user experiences from engagement activities and instructional sessions. · Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others for library project management · Demonstrated commitment to professional development in the areas of librarianship, professional activities and service

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Demonstrated ability in planning engaged library programs with multiple participants across an academic platform. Demonstrated knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data analysis methodologies Demonstrated experience in assessment of library services and programming
