The purpose of this position is to promote literacy and use of the library resources with families, children and teens. This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

Are you passionate about books and library resources? We’re looking for a dynamic Collection Development Librarian to guide and support the selection of books, audiovisual materials, and periodicals throughout our library system. In this role you’ll assist and train selectors in selecting, acquiring, and managing a wide range of library materials for all ages while also staying up-to-date with the latest trends in publishing and library services.
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
