The primary function and purpose of this position is as a technical service library assistant. The incumbent’s primary responsibilities involve database maintenance on several files of the library’s automated system (GeniePlus) and its library applications. General duties also include processing of mail, books, and media, labeling and shelving, and inventory control of the courtroom and chambers collection. Other duties include equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, bookkeeping, ordering, filing, word processing, and serving at the reference desk.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate with coursework in typing, office practices, or other related clerical subjects. The candidate should have at least 1 year of law library experience.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered
Knowledge of: Specific library routines and procedures; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
