Instructional Services Librarian

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the director of libraries in management of library literacy and outreach services; coordinate staff participation in various projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate course-specific library instruction
• Coordinate workshops, both general and specific discipline areas
• Coordinate information literacy instruction for the Faculty
• Participate with the library team in teaching information literacy goals and objectives to both faculty and students
• Promote library resources, both print and digital
• Promote library instructional services to the faculty, staff and students
• Research, assess, and make recommendations for the library collection for supporting the University curriculum, specifically for new majors and disciplines with increased growth
• Supervise and coordinative resources with Outreach Supervisor and Information Literacy Librarian

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Organizational skills
• Administrative skills
• Communication skills, both written and oral
• Professional in appearance and presentation
• Microsoft Office
• Serve evening or weekend shifts as schedule requires
• Master's degree in Library Science
