Responsibilities
- Manage the library collection, including selection, acquisition, cataloging, and maintenance of books and digital resources.
- Develop and implement engaging library programs and activities that promote literacy and a love for reading among students.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum and support classroom instruction.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify students in need of intervention and provide targeted support to enhance their reading and comprehension skills.
- Create and maintain a positive, inviting library atmosphere conducive to learning and exploration.
- Organize and facilitate book fairs, author visits, and reading challenges to encourage student participation and engagement.
- Provide training and support for staff and students in utilizing library resources and technology effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to library usage, student progress, and intervention outcomes.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and available resources to support reading at home.
- Stay current with trends in library science, literacy education, and intervention strategies through professional development opportunities.
