| Position Summary | The University of New Mexico College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences (CULLS) seeks motivated and highly-engaged student employees interested in a challenging and dynamic customer service work environment. Library Assistants are the first point of contact most patrons have with the University Libraries system and take care of most of the day-to-day duties associated with library operations. Under direct supervision, Library Assistants work with University Libraries staff and students in a team environment to: Assist Pictorial and Conservation Archivists with the processing of pictorial materials, identifying nitrate film, and supporting mitigation efforts to prepare these archival resources for digitization. The Student Library Assistant II will gain professional archival experience with photographic content and will follow archival policies and best practices for handling unique, fragile, and rare materials. The position may also assist with basic research and reference inquiries, help train and supervise new student employees, and participate in special projects as assigned. Responsibilities include:

| Minimum Qualifications | Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. |
