Under general supervision, provides professional library work in assisting with the operations of the library. Work involves providing programming, collection development, and reference services to children and teens, parents and caregivers, and promoting library services to the community through marketing, education, and outreach. Effectively communicates with library staff and library patrons in a variety of formats. Β Reports to Library Manager.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelorβs degree in Liberal Arts or related field with two (2) or more years of experience in working with children and teens; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Work includes prolonged sitting, standing and walking. Must be able to lift and move at least 40 pounds, with or without assistance. Must be able to perform carrying, reaching, stooping, pulling, and pushing activities, and must have clear speech, vision, and hearing acuity.
