A master's degree in library science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association followed by four years of experience in library services.

Job Duties:
This position manages and administers the Library Development Division that provides consulting, training, and support to 340 public libraries (67 public library systems) in the state. This involves extensive contact with libraries, library trustees, and other departments within the State Library, and with government officials. This position is highly visible and requires workload coordination, strategic planning, and political savvy.
