The George Latimer Central Library is looking for an Assistant Library Manager to oversee youth reference services, manage library programming, and support daily operations. A bachelor's degree and 24 semester credits in courses leading to an American Library Association (ALA) accredited master’s degree in Library Science.
OR
A bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience to include at least two of the following: a library setting, project or program implementation, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work.
OR
An associate degree or two years of relevant college coursework; AND three years of professional experience to include at least three of the following: experience in library setting, project or program, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work.
Note: Five years of vacancy related experience can be substituted for the degree and professional experience combination requirement above. Vacancy related experience must include professional experience in at least three of the following: a library setting, project or program implementation, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work.
