Job Summary
The Daniel J. Evans Library invites applications to join the Research Services Team. The position teaches information literacy in an interdisciplinary liberal arts and sciences environment, provides research support to the campus community, and contributes to collection development in areas of subject specialization including but not limited to arts and humanities. Evergreen’s unique curriculum provides opportunities to teach information literacy across the curriculum, in undergraduate and graduate offerings, and for a wide range of students including at the Olympia campus, our urban campus serving adult learners in Tacoma, and programs centering Indigenous pedagogies that reach Native students in the Puget Sound region. Significant numbers of Evergreen students are the first in their families to attend college and/or are β€œnon-traditional” in multiple ways including veterans, students of color, LGBTQ+ students, low-income students, and neurodiverse students. The position builds liaison relationships with faculty, creates instructional materials, teaches information literacy, provides reference/research services, mentors student workers at the research desk, and in collaboration with others evaluates and selects resources for an assigned collection area. The position participates in library initiatives including but not limited to programming, displays, and assessment. This position reports to the Dean of the Library. This is a 40-hour per week in-person position based in Olympia, Washington; up to 8 hours per week may be negotiated as telework. The position ends June 13, 2025; continuation in 2025-2026 is dependent upon funding. Minimum Qualifications
An ALA -accredited graduate degree in library/information sciences ( MLS / MLIS ) or a closely related program.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting diverse populations of students and faculty in an academic environment. Experience providing information literacy instruction and workshops as well as providing research assistance using print and electronic resources. Evidence of imagination, intellect, and resourcefulness in past initiatives, especially instructional programs.
